AWG – annual ‘Private Passions’ session via Zoom, with Shelagh Doonan and writing friends

Your invitation: In keeping with the traditions of our AMED Writers’ Group (AWG)*, we warmly invite you to join our free annual end-of-year gathering “Private Passions”.  We gather via Zoom on Friday 16 December at 1.30 pm UK .  Please bring along a short piece of writing (your own or by someone else) to share – some writing that has meant something to you this year; writing that perhaps you have found insightful, or moving, surprising, soothing or provocative, validating or challenging.

Through sharing, discussion and writing, we will explore what matters to us, and ways in which writing enriches our lives.

We will also spend some time at the end of the workshop identifying some possible themes and offerings for our writing group for 2023.

Ahead of the workshop, you may also like to think what might be your “word of the year” – a word that encapsulates 2022 for you.

About Shelagh:  I am a long-standing member of the AMED Writers’ Group. Having worked for over 30 years in learning and development in the voluntary and public sectors, I now memoir) with art/images (especially collage) work as a volunteer coach with the adult literacy charity Read Easy.
